Mike Rocha is an accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with over 17 years of experience across web, backend, and mobile technology products and services. His experience covers planning, architecture, implementation, deployment, and client needs assessments. He has a proven track record in delivering value through solutions that fulfill client needs efficiently and effectively.
In his current position as Partner and CTO at Sorger & Company Inc., Mike leads all technology projects and products, manages resource planning, and establishes company-wide processes, practices, and standards. He has managed teams of up to 30 employees across development, design, DevOps, and quality assurance. In his previous role as CTO at Smooth Commerce, he oversaw a 30x growth in user base and transaction volume, established compliance with the various payment and data security standards, and managed the department of 15-20 employees across development, design, devops, and quality assurance. He is experienced in agile methodologies and has completed an Enterprise Architecture and Leadership Development course. As a Solutions Architect at Channelassist Inc., he architected key development roadmap initiatives for the company’s main product platform, designed and implemented large-scale solutions using ASP.NET C#/VB.NET WebForms, MVC4, and SQL Server, and collaborated with executive team members to build solutions for existing and future customer requirements. He has also worked as a Product Owner/Manager, Solutions Developer, Lead Developer, and Software Developer for various companies in Canada.
Mike’s natural talent to turn even the hardest of requirements into reality is astonishing. His ability to understand business requirements, combined with his incredible attention to detail puts him in the superstar category of developers. Mike is an outstanding example of a technical professional that any company would be privileged to have as part of their team.
Mike exhibits the rare combination of being bright and having excellent software instincts with strong interpersonal skills.
